And the first of the Cutie Mark Crusaders, Sweetie Belle! In all honesty, I was not sure about using this song. I wanted to use a David Bowie song, seeing how her talent show costume reminds me of Bowie on the cover of 'Aladdin Sane', but most of his songs are extremely sexual, so I stayed away from that. So here we have Sweetie Belle singing the classic eighties hit from Nena, "99 Luftballons", but the English version.

Sweetie Belle was nice and simple, which was nice considering that Scoots wasn't easy herself, who I did right after Sweetie here.

"99 Luftballons" was written by Uwe Fahrenkrog-Petersen, Carlo Karges (German lyrics), and Kevin McAlea (English lyrics) and first appeared on '99 Luftballons', released February 28, 1984.
